We are family.... from the Wandering Berkmans!
We're settling into our routine here in Quebec City (Oh, Canada!-- more on this next time but in the meantime, must we really try the poutine??) ) but we couldn't let a day go by without remembering all the great family and friends we spent time with in our brief US tour!
In no particular order but all dear to our hearts...
Catching up with college friends Navaz and Sam in NJ!
Comparing travel hints with our nomad inspirations The Senior Nomads Debbie and Michael in Seattle!
Enjoying a beautiful lunch outside with a portion of Monica's Choir Altoids in NJ!
Three special weeks with Julia in Seattle!
Last minute meet up with neighbor Judy in Clinton!
Good times and Cuban food with Monica's family in OH!
Celebrating Kim and Nate at their beautiful wedding with our Outhwaite family!
Sharing Citispot coffee with the just-flew-into-NJ Wornings!

Making pizza with varying success (!) with Don's family in NM!
Visiting Papa/Sol/Dad's bench in Spruce Run Reservoir and recreating a memorable pic!
Fun times taking in music, museum and BBQ with Monica's family in WI!
Figuring out what must be our common DNA with our Sibs from another mother in NJ!
You all (and those we couldn't see this time) are the reason we come back to the US-- thanks for accommodating our last minute reach-outs (Judy and the Wornings!), our guest proclivities (Don's Fam!) and our Covid status (the Outhwaites!). We miss you all when we're away but find ourselves incredibly lucky to have you in our lives!
We leave you until next time with this SOL-- a summer camp of adorable 4 year olds on a field trip to a local bougie food hall here in Quebec City where each kid is given one perfect little carrot with the greenery still attached. Teach them young!
As for our schedule, Quebec City is our home for the next two weeks. Then it's a month in Montreal and PEI before we head out to Madrid for September - November.
Be well, stay away from that #$@!% BA-5 and thanks for following along!
Don and Monica
You've been busy! It was great to see you, albeit briefly!
ReplyDeleteI might have to start calling you guys the Berkman Butterflies. Freely flyng from flower/friend to flower/friend. Sampling the local nectar wherever you land. May you always find sweet nectar wherever you go!
